State employees nationwide will get three days off on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of National Day (September 2) this year.

The three holidays, approved by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, will be from September 2 to 4 (Saturday to Monday).

State employees and workers get a total of 18 holidays this year, including New Year holidays, Tet holidays, Hùng King anniversary, Unification Day, May Day and National Day.

On September 2, 1945, late President Ho Chi Minh made the historic Independence Declaration at Ba Đình Square, Hà Nội, marking the birth of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.
