The Secretariat of the Central Youth Union recently granted the 2024 Golden Globe Award for Science and Technology to 10 outstanding young talents. These individuals possess high-quality patents, utility solutions, and have garnered various domestic and international accolades.
Among these 10 young talents are three researchers in the technology field: Dr. Ngo Khac Hoang (born in 1992), an assistant professor at Linköping University, Sweden; Dr. Nguyen Van Son (born in 1993), a lecturer in the IT Department at the University of Engineering and Technology, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; and Dr. Le Kim Hung (born in 1990), from the Faculty of Computer Networks and Communications at the University of Information Technology, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.
Dr. Ngo Khac Hoang is the author of the research work "Unsourced Multiple Access With Random User Activity" in the field of telecommunications. The study aims to optimize energy efficiency in ultra-massive access systems.
Dr. Nguyen Van Son authored "CodeJIT," a research project that enables the early detection of security vulnerabilities during software development with a high accuracy rate of 90%, nearly double that of other methods. This solution can enhance software security from the development stage.
Dr. Le Kim Hung developed the project "Adaptive Sampling Algorithms for Large-Scale IoT Devices." This work addresses the challenge of energy efficiency in large-scale IoT systems.
The Golden Globe is an annual award aimed at fostering study, research, and the application of science and technology, as well as building a talent pool for the nation's development.
Each awardee receives a “Creative Youth” badge, a Golden Globe trophy, a certificate of recognition, and a cash prize of 20 million VND.
