The Vietnam Report in co-ordination with VietNamNet on April 12 announced the 2016 list of top 500 fastest growing and most prospective enterprises in Vietnam (FAST500) which has been held for the sixth consecutive year.

TPL Shipping is among the top 500 list

The top 500 list honours enterprises with high potential and prospects for future growth, worthy of being highlighted in the Vietnamese economy.

FAST500 featured enterprises recording a rapid growth pace in 2015, which made significant contributions to economic growth in the 2012-2015 period and which have selected a risky growth strategy in 2016 in the context of TPP integration.

The list included companies operating in various fields such as food processing and production, oil and petrol trading, real estate, pharmacy and others including An Long Food Company, ANSV Telecommunications Equipment Company, Saigon Petro Company, FLC Group, Novaland Group, SANG Pharma Company, among others.

More than 76% surveyed enterprises said they would continue to expand business activities and utilise new growth opportunities while over 22% said they would maintain business operations as in 2015 and only 1.6% intended to narrow business operations.

Over 80% of the fastest developing and most prospective enterprises suggested the government continue to reduce tax and promote administrative reforms in support of their business operations.

On the occasion, the Vietnam Report released a report on the growth and prospects of the Vietnamese economy in 2016, which also covers analysis by Vietnam’s leading economists.

The report stated that 2016 will be an important milestone for Vietnam's economy when a series of bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements will be signed and take effect, promising many co-operation opportunities and a rise in foreign direct investment in addition to huge challenges and fierce competition for Vietnamese enterprises.
