After the blockbuster “Kong: Skull Island” hitting the big screen, domestic and foreign travel companies have simultaneously launched tours to Vietnam, where many scenes were filmed.

Many leading tourism enterprises in the country, such as TST Tourist, Saigontourist, BenThanh Tourist said they have received hundreds of phone calls from visitors looking for tours of famous film locations in the latest King Kong movie, such as Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh and Quang Binh provinces. Tourist companies expect to receive a great number of international visitors in this summer.  

The international travel agent, Vietnam-based Exotic Voyages is also selling 10 day 9 night tour that will visit several of the locations,  Hanoi-Ninh Binh-Ha Long-Quang Binh-Sai Gon, costing from US$2,055. 

Quang Binh Province launched its official tourism website for international tourists at www.quangbinh-tourism.com in February, aiming at promoting provincial tourism and showing the real image of the Province.

Meanwhile Quang Ninh and Ninh Binh provinces’ authorities have assigned commentators to present tourist spots to visitors, especially filming destinations of the film ‘Kong: Skull Island".

Famous attractions, Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh Province;  Trang An, Tam Coc and Bich Dong in Ninh Binh Province; Phong Nha and Tan Hoa in Quang Binh Province have been well-known for their spectacular scenery for a long while past by local and international travelers, said Deputy Director of Saigontourist.

The release of the Hollywood movie is an opportunity to promote Vietnamese beauty to the world. 

However, the national tourism industry and local governments should pay attention to the quality of tourism services and all preparation for receiving visitors, he added.
