Nghi Tam Street in Tay Ho District is facing serious traffic jams, particularly at peak hours, due to the construction of a flyover.

The VND311 billion (USD13.7 million) flyover will go across the junction at An Duong and Thanh Nien streets and will measure 271 metres in length and 10 metres in width.

Construction of the flyover, which began in late October, is expected to take seven months.

The construction site was surrounded by fences on Yen Phu and Nghi Tam streets, affecting traffic, especially at peak hours.

Buses and taxis have been prohibited from travelling on both directions through the junction since November 5.
