On November 10, local authorities in Nam Truc commune (Ninh Binh province) confirmed receiving reports of a suspected suicide on the Đò Quan Bridge, located in Nam Dinh ward of the same province, coinciding with the date of the young man’s wedding.
At around 5 a.m., residents discovered a motorbike and a pair of sandals left on the bridge. The incident was immediately reported to local authorities.
Preliminary investigations identified the missing individual as D.Q.H., born in 2002.
According to family members, H. was the only son among three siblings, known for being gentle and hardworking. His wedding was scheduled for November 9 and 10, with the bride-pickup ceremony planned for the 10th.

The family shared that there had been no recent conflicts, and H. had shown no unusual behavior in the lead-up to the wedding.
The news of the abandoned motorbike and signs of a possible river jump left the family shocked and devastated.
Upon receiving notification from the police, the family rushed to the scene to search for H., but by late afternoon, there was still no sign of him.
At 4:45 p.m., the search operation was still underway.
H.’s parents were reportedly overwhelmed with grief, unable to stop crying, and were hoping desperately for a miracle.
