Seven carriages of a 20-carriage train were derailed in Hanoi on November 12.

The incident occurred at 10am at Phan Trong Tue-Ngoc Hoi Juction in Thanh Tri District, Hanoi.

According to a witness, the train was going north through Van Dien Station when the seven carriages at the rear derailed. One of the carriages completely left the rails and blocked the road while six other cars tilted toward Ngoc Hoi Street. One electric pylon was snapped.

The accident has caused severe congestion to the area.
