Transport Minister Nguyen Van The sent a thank-you letter to an old man in the Mekong delta province of An Giang who has diligently repaired potholed streets for years.

Newspapers articles have written about the example of old man Cao Van Long, over 70 years old, in Dong An 4 village in My Xuyen Commune of An Giang Province who have fixed bad streets for over five years.

He has ridden a bike with devices and asphalt containers to fix streets with small and big potholes

Expressing his gratitude to the old man, the Minister wrote; “ On behalf of the transport sector, I send you a thank-you for your good humanitarian deed, especially amid the shortage of the national budget for building and maintaining roads. All sector staffs appreciate your work. You are a shining example for people to follow."
