Ta Xua commune in Bac Yen district, the northern mountainous province of Son La, has been known nationwide for its over-100-year-old Shan tuyet tea which has a specially delicious taste.

 The number of international tourists to the capital city of Hanoi are estimated to rise by 30 percent to 125,000 people during the week-long Tet (Vietnamese New Year) festival, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

 The Yen Tu Spring Festival will open on February 25 (the 10th day of the Lunar New Year), in Uong Bi city, the northern province of Quang Ninh, kicking off the National Tourism Year hosted by the locality.

 Two locations in Vietnam – Sapa and Hoi An towns – have been named among the top ten places to visit in Southeast Asia in 2018, as selected by the readers of the UK-based travel website Rough Guides.

There has been an increase in the number of foreign tourists arriving that has coincided with the Lunar New Year in Vietnam.

At this time of the year, the northern mountainous province of Son La is becomes covered in a white coat of plum blossoms, with the picturesque scenes attracting a large number of visitors.

World Dream with 3,000 tourists onboard on February 6 arrived in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, followed by several other ships this month such as Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Millennium, Mariner of the Seas and Glory Sea.
