With the fast moving pace of 15-20 km per hour, the depression can get stronger and land in Luzon Island.

The tropical depression is still remote so its impacts on the mainland of Vietnam have not predicted yet. However, from today, wind will be at level 7, accompanied by strong thunderstorms in the northern East Sea, the fishing ground of Vietnamese fishermen.

In addition, the meteorological agency said that owning to the influence of the strong southwest monsoon, the waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and the southern East Sea (including the Truong Sa Archipelago) will have wind at level 6 and rough sea.

From the beginning of the year, three storms appeared in the East Sea. Most recently; the powerful Rumbia storm struck China.

It is forecasted that this year the East Sea will have 13-14 storms and tropical depressions, of which 5-6 storms will affect Vietnam.
