A low-pressure zone area over the East Sea has developed into a tropical depression and is forecast to make landfall in China, bringing with it heavy rains to northern Vietnamese localities,

A new tropical depression has appeared in the East Sea (South China Sea) while the current reported one is forecast to develop into a new storm in the next 24 hours, according to the national weather service.

A tropical depression has strengthened into a tropical storm named Etau, the 12th in the East Sea this year, and is moving west towards the central coast of Vietnam.

Two consecutive storms are forecast to emerge from the East Sea later this week, with the current tropical depression likely to strengthen into typhoon No. 7, 

The central region is forecast to experience prolonged heavy rains and floods in the coming days due to a low-pressure system in the East Sea that may grow into a tropical depression.
