The pre-teaser of Kieu, a new film based on the 18th-century Vietnamese epic poem Truyen Kieu (The Tale of Kieu), was released on YouTube last weekend.

An exhibition featuring translations of Vietnamese masterpiece Truyện Kiều (The Tale of Kiều) opened in Paris as part of the activities to mark poet Nguyen Du’s 255th birthday and commemorate his 200th death anniversary.

The Tale of Kieu, known locally as Truyen Kieu, a Vietnamese masterpiece from the 18th century, has been adapted into a stage play performed by puppeteers for the first time.

 Truyen Kieu (the Tale of Kieu) was recognised as 'The literary work having the most national records in the world' by the World Records Union on December 2, according to the Vietnam Book of Records (Vietkings).
