Truong Thi Kim Tuyen won a bronze medal at the World Taekwondo Grand Prix Final’s Ivory Coast leg on Saturday.

The Vietnamese defeated Rukiye Yildirim from Turkey 27-17 in the women’s 49kg category third-place play-off to take the podium.
Earlier, she overcame Tijana Bogdanovic 25-12 and Vanja Stankovic 11-8, both of Serbia, in the qualifiers. Tuyen lost 15-17 to South Korean, Kim So Hui, in the semi-final.
Panipak Wongpattanakit of Thailand took the gold after beating Hui in the final.
It is Tuyen's second medal at this year’s Grand Prix, after she won a silver medal at the Morocco leg in September. — VNS
