A man and a woman have died after being struck by lightning while hiding from a rain in a tent near their farm in the central highlands province of Dak Nong.
Police in Dak G'long District confirmed that a 32 man and his wife, 30, were found dead at a tent near their farm at 10 pm on April 24.
According to the police report, the man and his wife had gone to work at their farm at 3 pm that day when there was heavy rain and lightning. The couple sought shelter in the tent and was struck by lightning while in the tent.
Their bodies were found at 10 pm that day after their family came to find them.
Local authorities said that the young couple was from a low-income family who have five small children. They need financial support to hold a funeral and care for their children.
