Miss Grand Vietnam will follow an exciting, entertaining itinerary, whilst simultaneously promoting cultural and human values that Miss Grand International represents, said Pham Kim Dung, general director of Sen Vang Entertainment Co. Ltd., the organiser of the contest.
Through the platform of the Miss Grand Vietnam 2022 pageant, the organising board deeply desires to spread a message of peace throughout the globe, said Dung.
Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 is scheduled to take place in July and August, with the winner set to receive a cash prize of VND300 million before going on to represent the nation at Miss Grand International 2023 hosted by Vietnam this November.
Vietnam first hosted the contest back in 2017. At that time, Maria Jose Lora of Peru was crowned Miss Grand International 2017, whilst Vietnamese representative Huyen My, first runner up Miss Vietnam 2014, was among the Top 10 finalists.
The beauty pageant has received plenty of attention from the Vietnamese public after the impressive and convincing win by Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien to triumph at the Miss Grand International in 2021.
Beating off beauties other from 59 countries across the globe, the 23-year-old became the first-ever Vietnamese beauty queen to win the title.
