At a provincial press briefing on the afternoon of October 23, Colonel Phan Quyet Thang, Deputy Political Commissar of the Thai Nguyen Military Command, reported that from the night of October 6 to October 7, torrential rainfall blanketed the province due to the storm's lingering effects.
Rainfall averaged 250-400mm, with some locations exceeding 500mm, particularly in Vo Nhai, Dinh Hoa, Phu Binh districts, and parts of central Thai Nguyen City.
The prolonged downpour triggered severe and unprecedented flooding, surpassing historical levels and rapidly swelling rivers and streams, especially the Cau River.

The flooding submerged many riverside areas, caused landslides in mountainous regions, severed transportation routes, and severely impacted local livelihoods and production.
Numerous irrigation works, reservoirs, dikes, roads, and critical infrastructure suffered heavy damage.
A total of 54 communes and wards across the province were inundated, while many other localities suffered damage due to landslides, power outages, and water supply disruptions.
More than 200,000 households were affected, with 3,464 families forced to evacuate.
Thousands of hectares of crops were submerged, and livestock was killed or washed away.

Typhoon No. 11 resulted in seven deaths and three injuries.
Total estimated property damage exceeded VND 12.6 trillion (approximately USD 520 million).
Immediately after the disaster, provincial authorities, in coordination with the Military Command, the police, and local militia forces, carried out emergency rescue operations and safely evacuated all 3,464 households from high-risk zones.
Disaster response command posts were established at three critical locations.
Emergency shelters, including 22 temporary tents, were set up for evacuees in flooded areas.
Environmental sanitation efforts were launched after the floodwaters receded, particularly at administrative centers, schools, hospitals, and markets.
Authorities reinforced over 3.5km of dikes, addressed more than 3,000 landslide points, and disinfected 450 cubic meters of water across a 30km radius around the provincial center.
In response to the ongoing weather threats posed by Typhoon No. 11, the Thai Nguyen Military Command continues to mobilize forces and resources for rescue efforts and flood recovery.
