The latest weather news from the National Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center showed that the country's second storm of this year- Nida landed in Hong Kong (China) this morning.

At 7am today, the storm was located at 22, 7 degrees north latitude and 113, 6 degrees east longitude in the southeastern territorial water of Guangdong province. The maximum wind level near center gusted level 10- 13.

Within next 24 hours, it is going to move mainly the west- northwestward at 25 kilometers per hour. After that it will enter mainland and be weakened into the tropical low pressure, said the Center.

By 7am tomorrow, typhoon Nida will locate at  24, 5 degrees north latitude and 108, 7 degrees east longitude of the mainland of Guangxi Zhuang province with its powerful wind level near center at level 6- 7.

Strong wind level of 8- 11 and sea rough are reported to continue covering the northern territorial water of East Sea. Meanwhile, Gulf of Tonkin will be suffered by medium- heavy rain, thunderstorm and level 6- 7 wind speed.

In next 24- 36 hours, the tropical low pressure will move west northwestward at 15- 20 kilometers of the mainland of Guangxi Zhuang province, wrapping maximum wind speed of below level 6.

From August 2- 4, medium- heavy rain will occur in the east northern provinces, the mountainous and midland northern provinces with its rainfall of 100- 250 mm.

Because of the southwestern monsoon’s influence, the offshore of territorial water from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau and Spratly Islands will have strong wind of level 7- 8 and sea rough. Both Central Highlands and the southern regions also will suffer medium- heavy rains.

Yesterday, storm Nida was positioned at 20, 9 degrees north latitude and 117, 7 degrees east longitude at 400 kilometers of Hong Kong (China). The maximum wind blew at level 11- 15.

Ministry of Nature Resources and Environment asked the Central Hydrology Meteorology Forecast Center provided timely related weather information about direction, position of the super typhoon to local residents and ship owners.

Besides, the Prime Minister also required Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development, Transport Ministry, Defense Ministry, the National Committee of Search and Rescue, and effected people’s committees collaborated closely in instructing local people and sea-going fishing vessels to move safety places avoiding the bad weather.
