The Vietnam U23 squad has received rewards worth up to VND23 billion from different organizations after winning a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Football Confederation U23 Championship.

Accordingly, Vietnam U23 team received VND3.6 billion from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), VND1.5 billion from the Vietnam Professional Football Join Stock Company (VPF) and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and VND3.2 billion from the National Olympic Committee. 

According to statistics from VFF, the Vietnam U23 team had received more than VND23 billion up to January 28. This is a record reward for a Vietnamese football team. Earlier in 2008, the national football team got over VND10 billion rewards after claiming the championship at the AFF Cup.

Besides, the coaching staff and U23 players have also received special holiday packages at luxury resorts and fundings for training courses from different sponsors nationwide.

The Vietnamese Under 23 football team yesterday had a meeting with National Assembly Chairperson Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan after they came back home from the 2018 AFC U23 Championship in China. 

At the meeting, all members of the national team respectively signed their names on the Vietnamese 54-square-meters national flag which the Ha Giang border police offered to the NA delegation.

The nation flag symbolized for 54 ethnic groups across the country which had been located at Lung Cu flag tower.

 The flag will be showcased at the traditional room of National Assembly. 

The Vietnamese Under 23 football team excellently won the silver medal and Fair-play award at the 2018 AFC U23 Championship.
