“The course is like a box of chocolate with lots of flavors, you never know what you will get. If you ask me about what all of us have achieved after this course, it will definitely be our ability to quickly and confidently communicate in English,” Vo Thi Hang, one of the youngest students, said at the closing ceremony on March 20.

“After five months of training, this class has been our second home. I believe that these English skills will help us explore new challenges, broaden our opportunities and develop our career in the future.”

Under the program, the UK Defence Section has also provided English language training books to support internal English training courses of a number of the Vietnam Ministry of National Defense’s academies.

The UK Defence Section last week handed over 280 such books to representatives of the ministry’s Science Academy, Medical Academy, Air Defence-Air Force Academy and Border Guard Academy.

UK Defence Attaché, Group Captain David Houghton said: “The English language training programs within the various Vietnam Ministry of National Defence’s Academies are producing great results. We hope that these books will help enhance still further the quality of English language teaching within the academies.”
