Four special iPhone Ultra editions
Caviar, a brand known for turning premium smartphones into luxury collectibles, has expanded its customization lineup for Apple’s rumored foldable iPhone Ultra.
The collection was first introduced by Caviar in June and has now been expanded with four limited-edition designs: Liquid Metal, Jobs, Magenta and Karat.
Each will be produced in extremely small numbers. Caviar plans to make just 17 Liquid Metal units, nine Jobs models, 19 Magenta versions and 19 Karat editions.
The limited production further adds to the exclusivity of the iPhone Ultra concepts, which are already aimed squarely at ultra-wealthy customers.
Of the four, Liquid Metal stands out for its distinctive design. Caviar uses 925 sterling silver for the exterior, sculpting it into a rippled, light-reflecting surface and adding a three-dimensional Apple logo.
The result makes the device look more like a piece of fine jewelry than a conventional smartphone.
Inspired by Steve Jobs, with crocodile leather and 24K gold
The Jobs edition was conceived as a tribute to Steve Jobs, Apple’s co-founder and one of the most influential figures in the history of the technology industry.
Its design draws inspiration from his image and legacy, giving the device collectible value in addition to its practical purpose.
Magenta and Karat, meanwhile, place greater emphasis on luxury materials.
Both feature crocodile leather, with Magenta finished in a raspberry-pink shade and Karat in black.
The leather is paired with 925 sterling silver on the Magenta model and 24K gold on Karat, creating an unmistakably lavish appearance.
Prices reflect the elaborate craftsmanship of each edition. Karat starts at around $14,130, while Liquid Metal is the most expensive at $18,840.
Those figures are many times higher than the prices of conventional mass-market iPhones, but Caviar has long targeted customers looking for exclusive, limited-production products.
Apple has yet to confirm a foldable iPhone Ultra
Despite the work Caviar has put into the designs, consumers should not regard these products as an official preview of Apple’s future foldable iPhone. Apple has not announced a foldable iPhone Ultra.
The information Caviar has used to develop the collection is largely based on leaks and rumors surrounding a device Apple is believed to be developing.
As a result, the actual iPhone Ultra, should Apple eventually release one, could look entirely different from the products Caviar is currently showcasing.
Previous rumors have suggested that the iPhone Ultra could feature an inner display of around 7.8 inches and an outer screen of approximately 5.5 inches, with Apple potentially unveiling the device on September 9.
For now, however, all of these details remain speculative and are not official specifications.
That also means buyers of Caviar’s editions need to understand that they are purchasing a customized product based on the concept of an as-yet-unconfirmed device rather than an official Apple variant.
Getting ahead of what could be the most expensive iPhone ever
Caviar’s continued expansion of the collection suggests the company has high expectations for the appeal of a foldable iPhone.
If current rumors prove accurate, the device could become one of the most distinctive products in the iPhone lineup while opening an entirely new price segment for Apple.
Until Apple officially announces the product, however, all images, technical specifications and launch timing surrounding the foldable iPhone Ultra should continue to be treated as unconfirmed information.
If Apple does launch a foldable iPhone Ultra, the device is likely to become a major focus of the premium smartphone market.
Caviar’s customized versions featuring silver, gold and crocodile leather could then continue to appeal to customers seeking an iPhone that is not only expensive, but genuinely exclusive.
