The aircraft arrived at the airport at around 1 pm today, February 20. It has been said to have transported equipment and goods for Trump’s stay in Vietnam. The C-17 is 53 m long and has a wingspan of 51.77 m. It can airlift cargo fairly close to a battle area. It can carry four UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and two Apache AH-64 helicopters.
Reporters waited at Noi Bai International Airport waiting for the US aircraft ahead of the Trump-Kim summit.
A C-17 aircraft previously visited Hanoi to serve former US President Barack Obama’s visit to Vietnam in 2016 and US President Donald Trump’s tour to Vietnam in 2017. |
