A US Boeing C-17 Globemaster III has landed at Noi Bai International Airport to prepare for US President Donald Trump’s tour to Hanoi for the coming meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. 




The aircraft arrived at the airport at around 1 pm today, February 20. It has been said to have transported equipment and goods for Trump’s stay in Vietnam.

The C-17 is 53 m long and has a wingspan of 51.77 m. It can airlift cargo fairly close to a battle area. It can carry four UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and two Apache AH-64 helicopters. 


Reporters waited at Noi Bai International Airport waiting for the US aircraft ahead of the Trump-Kim summit.


A C-17 aircraft previously visited Hanoi to serve former US President Barack Obama’s visit to Vietnam in 2016 and US President Donald Trump’s tour to Vietnam in 2017.
