David C.Murray was born into a family with a tradition of music, but his job is related to healthcare. Going to Vietnam to work at the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi, once David was invited by a friend to sing and since then the passion for singing has followed up. David chooses R & B.

Being in Vietnam for a year, from a stranger in this country, now David has many friends through music. The American man more and more loves the country and the people here. That is why David makes the MV “Are you for real.”

“Are you for Real” was compiled by David C.Murray and famous rapper Akon for the Skillz group in late 1990s. He decided to renew this song with a new music video, performed by young Vietnamese singers like overseas Vietnamese rapper Dao Viet Phuong (Fawng Daw), musician Hoang Touliver, and Mai Tho. Dancer and singer Cuong Seven is the choreographer for the MV.

Director Khanh Pham has invested a lot of effort in making the MV script to fit the R&B Hip Hop style. Khanh Pham hoped that when this MV is released in the US, it will introduce a beautiful, distinctive Vietnam so he used flying cam technology to get the broad angle of Hanoi.

In the post-production phase, Khanh Pham asked for the help of Nguyen Hoang Anh, who was trained in the post-production technologies in Australia and practiced at Paramount Picture. Hoang Anh participated in making the trailer of the blockbuster Transformers 2 and the post-production of the film.

With the strong support from family and friends in the American music industry such as Akon and R Kelly, David is confident to be able to release “Are you for real” to the world through the online music channel.

David will be in Vietnam for 3 years. He has many music plans with Vietnamese artists such as Kimmese, Jussta Tee, etc. He is also Black interested in charity activities because according to her grandmother, the life is only meaningful if you help others.
