The US Consulate General, which ran a similar project in HCM City, said the programme includes a four-day workshop aimed at enhancing capacity for Vietnamese sound and light technicians and creates opportunities for future collaborations between Vietnamese and American professionals in the performing arts.

Trainees will have the chance to experience a series of workshops combining essential theory and hands-on practice, with participants operating state-of-the-art sound and light equipment. The training will also include soft skills to help technical teams improve communication skills and learn how to interact with clients.

The programme will wrap up with a closing ceremony followed by a performance featuring DJ Verseatile and local bands with light and sound designed by American experts at the outdoor BNF stage on Vo Nguyen Giap Street from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on August 18.

Vietnamese rock band The Blue Sky and solo-rock guitarist Cao Đức Minh will take part in the live performance.

The programme is supported by Soul Live Project, QV Sound, MPX and Trung Vuong Theatre.
