Update news vaccination for kids
The Ministry of Health is speeding up procedures aimed at completing its contract with Pfizer to purchase 21.9 million vaccine doses for children aged five to 11 in March.
The Hanoi Department of Health confirmed on December 1 that it has suspended COVID-19 vaccinations for two batches of shelf-life Pfizer vaccines that had already expired on November 30 for consultations.
All 18 babies aged between 2 and 6 months old are now in stable condition after they were mistakenly given a Pfizer shot on November 3, according to the Hanoi Department of Health.
The HCMC Department of Health has made a list of children aged between three and 11 and sought the Ministry of Health’s approval to vaccinate them against Covid-19, said head of the office of the department Nguyen Thi Huynh Mai.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) on October 14 sent a dispatch to local healthcare departments informing them about the plan to vaccinate children aged 12-17.
