The Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO), a member of the Vietnam Airlines Corporation, has announced that it officially launched the first flight service linking Vinh city, in the central province of Nghe An, with the central city of Da Nang on February 15.

At the launch ceremony


The aircraft ATR-72 carrying 68 passengers took off from Vinh airport at 8:20am and landed at Da Nang international airport at 9:40am the same day. 

At the launch ceremony, a leader of Nghe An province handed over a certificate of merit to VASCO and presented flowers to crew members and the first passengers. 

Passengers on the flight also received souvenirs at check-in counters and lucky money from VASCO for the Lunar New Year. 

VASCO will run seven Vinh-Da Nang flights per week, which are expected to propel economic, tourism, and trade ties between Vinh, Thanh Hoa and Da Nang, Hue, and Quang Nam –VNA
