Total motor vehicle sales during November reached 28,442 units, according to the latest report from the Vietnam Automobile Manufactures’ Association (VAMA), of which 18,016 were passenger cars, 9,296 were commercial vehicles, and 1,130 were special-purpose vehicles.

Passenger car sales were down 0.7 per cent against October while commercial vehicles were up by 4 per cent and special-purpose vehicles were down 7.5 per cent.

The number of completely-knocked-down (CKD) vehicles was 21,961 units, a 5.2 per cent increase against October, while the number of completely-built-up (CBU) vehicles was 6,481 units, down 12 per cent against October.

Sales therefore totaled 243,675 vehicles in the first eleven months of the year, up 36 per cent year-on-year. Passenger cars totaled 140,921 units, up 30 per cent, commercial vehicles 90,227 units, up 25 per cent, and special-purpose vehicles 12,527 units, up 37 per cent.

In the first eleven months CKD sales were 205,355 units, up 33 per cent year-on-year, while CBU units totaled 67,768, up 7 per cent.
