On average, 120,000 to 143,000 Vietnamese go abroad to work each year. Vietnamese guest workers send home around 3.5 to 4 billion USD annually each year, an important source for socio-economic development, according to MoLISA.
Although the global economy was in a downturn in 2023 amid inflation and political tensions, overseas remittance inflows to Vietnam still rose by 25-30% compared to 2022, reported the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV).
According to SBV’s Ho Chi Minh City branch, overseas remittances to the city in 2023 reached 9.5 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 43.3% and a record high for the last 10 years.
Thanks to its early studies and analysis of manpower export trends in 2023, Vietcombank Remittance developed policies with partners in Vietnam’s major manpower export markets, particularly South Korea.
To enhance relations with its Korean partner, in September 2023 Vietcombank Remittance organized the "Conference with Korean Partners 2023" and related events. This established a strong connection that not only brings economic benefits but enhances customer experience to satisfy the increasing demands of the remittance market.
With expertise, flexibility, an adaptability to market changes, and high-quality services, Vietcombank Remittance has become the leading remittance company in Vietnam. Vietcombank Remittance was awarded “Remittance Company of the Year” for the second consecutive time by the Singapore-based Banking and Finance Magazine.
Vietcombank Remittance is seen as a reliable and reputable partner of many foreign money transfer companies.
