Low-cost carrier Vietjet Air has recently received the “Most favourite airline” and strong brand name titles in Vietnam.
The carrier was honoured at a ceremony held on April 2 in Hanoi to present the Golden Dragon Awards and the title of strong brand names in 2016.
The annual prize was initiated in 2001 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Thoi Bao Kinh Te Viet Nam (Vietnam Economic Times) to acknowledge businesses with excellent performances and recognise their contributions to the business and local communities.
This year, 75 foreign-invested enterprises were conferred with the Golden Dragon Awards and 100 domestic businesses received the strong brand names.
Vietjet is the first airline in Vietnam to operate as a new-age airline with low-cost and diversified services to meet customers' demands. It provides not only transport services but also uses the latest e-commerce technologies to offer various products and services for consumers.
Founded in 2007, Vietjet currently has a fleet of 34 aircraft, including A320s and A321s and operates about 200 flights daily.
