Passengers disembark from an aircraft owned by Vietnam Airlines at Tan Son Nhat International Airport

The national flag carrier will use wide-body Boeing 787-9s and Airbus A350-900s under the four-star international standard for these extra flights.

Also, the airline has advised passengers to check in on its website or mobile app or at check-in kiosks at the Tan Son Nhat and Noi Bai airports to avoid having to queue in long lines at these airports.

Earlier, on December 12, VNA launched a special flight using a wide-body Airbus A350-900 jetliner to carry the national football team from Malaysia back to Vietnam.

Vietnam Airlines has operated a total of 31 flights, including previously scheduled flights, with 7,000 seats, since the start of the AFF Cup football tournament.
