Last Saturday, while cleaning an aircraft after flight SQ186 landed at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, employee Phung Thi Ngoc saw two bags left behind on the Singapore Airlines flight from Singapore to HCM City.
Ngoc immediately informed the company, which was able to quickly identify the passengers – one Vietnamese and one from Singapore – and return the lost items.
Inside the two bags, there was more than 50,000 Singapore dollars, nearly VND2 million, two expensive smartphones and some identification papers. In total, the forgotten items valued nearly VND1 billion.
Since the beginning of this year, Ngoc has discovered 12 lost items and returned them to passengers, reuniting fliers with their cash, ID papers, cosmetics, jewellery, phones and more.
In the first seven months of 2019, VIAGS employees discovered and returned nearly 8,000 items and VND8.4 billion in cash to passengers. In July alone, VIAGS returned nearly 1,300 items and VND1.7 billion.
