Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, Chairman of the Sub-Committee in the Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee on Economic, Trade and Scientific Technological Cooperation, and Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Nikolayevich Chernyshenko, Chairman of the Russian Sub-Committee, also agreed on an implementation roadmap in various fields such as industry, health care, agriculture, trade, and energy.

The two Deputy PMs discussed principles related to bilateral cooperation in oil and gas and some traditional energy sectors, outlined a roadmap for cooperation in agriculture, and initiated a project to build a Russian school in Hanoi.

Ha suggested that both sides continue to maintain a mechanism for swift and timely information exchange to address any issues arising during the implementation of cooperative programs and projects. He also proposed exploring the possibility of signing intergovernmental cooperation agreements in certain important priority areas.

The two Deputy PMs also examined measures to further enhance bilateral cooperation in various fields, including agriculture, industry, energy and petroleum, information and communication, science and education, as well as culture and sports.

They vowed to promote tourism, foster people-to-people exchanges, increase the teaching of Vietnamese and Russian languages in both countries, maintain scholarships for Vietnamese students, and attract Russian students to study and conduct research in Vietnam.
