Vietnam fixtures – ASEAN Cup 2026 Group A

Vietnam enters ASEAN Cup 2026 as the defending champion, aiming to successfully retain the regional crown under head coach Kim Sang Sik.

The Golden Star Warriors have been drawn into Group A, alongside Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia and Timor-Leste.

Indonesia is widely regarded as Vietnam's toughest opponent in the group, while Singapore is expected to provide another stern test. With an experienced squad and a well-established playing style, Vietnam is considered one of the favorites to finish top of the group and advance to the knockout stage.

According to the official schedule, Vietnam will open its campaign against Timor-Leste on July 24, before hosting Singapore on July 31. The team will then travel to Jakarta to face Indonesia on August 3, before concluding the group stage at home against Cambodia on August 7.

Each fixture will play an important role in determining Vietnam's path to the semifinals.

Following an impressive triumph in the previous ASEAN Cup, Vietnam returns with both the confidence of defending champions and the pressure that comes with that status.

If Nguyen Quang Hai and his teammates can maintain their form and composure, Vietnam will be well positioned to extend its success and lift Southeast Asia's most prestigious football trophy once again.
