A Vietnam U-19 team beat India 4-0 at the Asian Football Confederation U-19 Women’s Championship qualifier in Hanoi yesterday.

Taking full advantage of playing on their home turf, Vietnam dominated the match from the first minute.

In the 35th minute, an Indian defender made an error with Nguyen Thi Nu and Vietnam enjoyed a penalty kick. Striker Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan opened the score for Vietnam.

In the 43rd minute, Ngan scored again to make it 2-0.

After the break, Việt Nam had several chances to score but failed. However, the team scored two more goals thanks to Nguyen Thi Nu in the 83rd minute and Ha Thi Nhai in extra time.

Vietnam will meet Iran tomorrow.
