The election took place during the fourth session of the VBA Executive Committee for the 2022–2027 term.

Upon assuming his new role, Phan Duc Trung pledged to devote his efforts to fostering innovation and contributing to Vietnam’s development.

He emphasized VBA’s commitment to collaborating with regulatory agencies, organizations, enterprises, and individuals to achieve the nation’s blockchain-related objectives.

The newly appointed president outlined six strategic goals for VBA:

Strengthening partnerships to drive industry advancement.
Establishing standards for blockchain technology.
Promoting international cooperation to enhance Vietnam’s position in the global blockchain landscape.

2025: A pivotal year

The year 2025 marks a significant milestone for VBA as it continues to support state agencies and the blockchain community in achieving national objectives set forth in key government resolutions.

These include Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW from the Politburo and the National Blockchain Strategy No. 1236/QD-TTg issued by the Prime Minister.

These directives aim to shape Vietnam’s legal framework while fostering innovation and sustainable development, enabling the country to integrate with global blockchain trends.

VBA's impact

Since its establishment in May 2022, VBA has become Vietnam’s first legally recognized organization in the blockchain sector.

The association has connected tens of thousands of individuals and organizations both domestically and internationally.

In 2024, VBA organized and participated in 100 events, including 45 focusing on education and 40 dedicated to policy consultations regarding legal frameworks and legislative drafts.

Additionally, VBA has gained support from over 100 media outlets, resulting in more than 1,500 domestic and international news articles highlighting its initiatives.
