Liu Yunshan (R) meets with Pham Minh Chinh in Beijing on December 12
The request was made by Politburo member Pham Minh Chinh, Secretary of the CPV Central Committee and head of the CPV Central Committee’s Organisation Commission, during a meeting with Liu Yunshan, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s Politburo and Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Secretariat, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on December 12.
Chinh briefed his host about Vietnam’s recent situation, the outcomes of the CPV’s fourth session, and the outcomes of the talks between the two Parties’ organisation commissions.
He congratulated China on its massive achievements in all fields, voicing the belief that under the CPC’s leadership, China will successfully implement the resolution of the CPC’s 18th national congress and obtain even greater accomplishments in socialism building and reform.
He also expressed his delight at encouraging strides made in relations between the two Parties and between Vietnam and China recently, including cooperation between their organisation commissions.
Acknowledging the CPC’s effective assistance to the CPV in personnel training, he reiterated that the Vietnamese Party, State and people consistently want to join their Chinese counterparts in reinforcing the countries’ traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
Chinh asked both sides to increase high-level meetings and enhance substantive cooperation in all spheres. They should together strive to keep peace and stability in the East Sea, resolve existing issues step by step by complying with the set principles, use peaceful means and respect each other’s legitimate interests in line with international law.
At the meeting, Liu congratulated Vietnam on the CPV’s successful 12th national congress and recent attainments, adding that he believes under the CPV’s leadership, the country will achieve the targets and tasks set in the 12th congress’s resolution and gain more victories in reform and socialism building.
He noted the time-tested amity between the two Parties and countries, nurtured by late Presidents Mao Zedong and Ho Chi Minh and other leaders, is a precious common asset of the two peoples and needs to be promoted.
The Chinese Party, State and People treasure ties with Vietnam and are ready to work with their Vietnamese counterparts to develop that relationship, he added, asking the two organisation commissions to promote high-ranking exchanges, political trust, strategic connectivity and humane exchanges while having a good control of difference, thereby enhancing bilateral relations’ stable and healthy development.
The commissions should also step up extensive and effective cooperation, especially in the Party reinforcement and personnel training in order to raise the effectiveness of the countries’ comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership for the sake of each nation, as well as peace, stability and development in the region and around the world, he added.
Also on December 12, Chinh and other Vietnamese Party officials had working session with the CPC Central Committee’s organisation and discipline inspection departments.
The CPV delegation is on a working visit to China from December 11-15.
