These included standout performances in karate, taekwondo, ju-jitsu, artistic gymnastics, athletics, swimming, and even MMA - a sport not officially recognized on the SEA Games medal table.

The day began with victory from Vietnam’s women’s karate team in the kata event. Then, in events like athletics and swimming, Vietnamese athletes pulled off thrilling finishes - most notably the electrifying final leg in the men’s 4x200m freestyle relay.

The men's relay team of Viet Tuong, Huy Hoang, Nguyen Quoc, and Hung Nguyen closed the day with a dramatic gold medal finish for Team Vietnam.

Vietnamese fighters also made their mark in MMA, which is currently an unofficial SEA Games event. Quang Van Minh and Tran Ngoc Luong dominated their opponents to bring home gold.
