Nguyen Thi Huyen is Vietnam's second track-and-field athlete to be named as a member of the Vietnam national team to compete at the Rio Olympics this summer.

The information was confirmed by Vietnam Chief de Mission Tran Duc Phan at the Games, during a recent meeting with reporters in Hanoi.
Phan noted, “The final list for track-and-field will be released in mid-July, but Huyen will be one of the Olympians, for sure, as Olympics organizers informed me at a conference of chiefs de mission in Thailand.”
He added that the official announcement will be released soon.
Huyen reached B standards in the women’s 400m and 400m hurdle events at the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Singapore last year.
The two-time SEA Games champion is the 21st athlete from Vietnam to join the world’s largest sporting event.
