Vietnam (in white) beat Malaysia 25-15, 27-25, 25-15 at their second match in Group F of the Asian Women’s U23 Volleyball Championship in Thailand on May 17.

Tran Thi Thanh Thuy proved her skills and won Viet Nam 19 points.

With a second win in the last-eight round, Viet Nam are second in Pool F.

They are expected to face Kazakhstan, third in Pool E in the knock-out quarter-finals today at the Mall Nakhon Ratchasima’s MCC Hall.

Head coach Irisawa Hidehiro was unhappy with his players’ performance. He said they made many mistakes.

He said Kazakhstan were tall and a strong team, making them a tough match-up for Viet Nam.
