The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel is implementing citizen protection measures for Tieu Nguyen Bao Ngoc, a Vietnamese citizen participating in a flotilla organized by Global Sumud Flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip who was detained by Israeli authorities.
Immediately after receiving information about the incident, the Consular Department under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinated with Vietnam’s representative missions in Israel, Egypt, and Türkiye, along with relevant domestic authorities, to verify the case.
Authorities have also actively contacted and exchanged information with the family of Tieu Nguyen Bao Ngoc to gather additional details and facilitate citizen protection procedures.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel has contacted Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to request verification of information related to the incident.
Vietnam has also requested that Israeli authorities ensure humane treatment and fully comply with international regulations and conventions concerning citizen protection and human rights.
Representatives of the embassy said they are continuing close coordination with local authorities and closely monitoring developments to provide necessary support measures for the Vietnamese citizen involved in the case.
As the security situation in the Middle East continues to develop in a complex manner, the Vietnamese Embassy in Israel has advised Vietnamese citizens to strictly comply with regulations in Middle Eastern countries.
Citizens are also encouraged to regularly monitor security warnings issued by local authorities and Vietnamese representative missions in the region, while limiting travel to conflict zones or areas facing security risks.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel said it will continue updating information and implementing necessary citizen protection measures in accordance with Vietnamese law and international practices.
