The Fall-Winter 2025 edition of AVIFW concluded after four visually stunning nights, reaffirming its place as the region’s most anticipated fashion event. Under the theme #PureStyleShines – “Identity defines style,” this season celebrated the voices of 20 designers and brands, alongside hundreds of models, offering a full spectrum of creativity and self-expression.

For the first time, students from two leading fashion institutions – the University of Industrial Fine Arts and the Hanoi University of Architecture – were given the opportunity to present their work on a professional runway. This strategic move reflects AVIFW’s long-term vision to nurture emerging talent who will shape the future of Vietnamese fashion.

The presence of these universities carried a deeper meaning beyond encouragement. It underscored AVIFW’s role as a platform of connection and inspiration, offering the next generation real experience in a professional setting, performing alongside some of the industry’s most established names.

AVIFW Fall-Winter 2025 marked a milestone with the participation of nine international designers, each bringing unique perspectives and cultural artistry from across the globe. Their decision to debut collections at AVIFW reaffirmed Vietnam’s rising status as a vibrant fashion hub in Asia.

Aligned with the theme #PureStyleShines, each international designer presented their own cultural language:

From Spain, Chula unveiled the minimal and refined Black & White collection.

Frederick Lee of Singapore captivated with the haute couture piece Nocturne Éternelle.

Cambodia’s Natacha Van offered poetic elegance through Ethereal Enchantment, while China’s Trip&Co reimagined outdoor fashion with a modern twist.

Many chose to pay homage to cultural heritage. Indian designer Ajay Kumar brought royal Indian imagery to life. Laos’ Bandid Lasavong partnered with artisan collective Ock Pop Tok to present unique handwoven textiles. Malaysian label Behati blended elements from Malay, Chinese, Indian and Bornean traditions in the collection CHĂM. Indonesia’s Priyo Oktaviano delivered the liberating energy of Indonesian heritage.

A special highlight came from Filipino designer Francis Libiran, whose VISIONS collection created a Southeast Asian symphony of style by blending Singaporean tailoring, Indonesian fluidity and Malaysian decorative spirit.

Among the Vietnamese designers, local culture remained a powerful theme.

Vu Viet Ha opened the event with The purest origin, a collection that combined silk with traditional knitting techniques.

Adrian Anh Tuan and Le Minh Ngoc impressed with well-tailored, ready-to-wear pieces.

Pham Tran Thu Hang pushed boundaries with bold experimentation.

Ha Linh Thu transformed velvet into dramatic, edgy silhouettes in Black Parade.

Ivan Tran explored folklore through a modern lens in his debut collection Sun beneath the clouds.

Closing the show, Cao Minh Tien’s collection The sleepwalker conjured a wild and mystical world of handcrafted embroidery, fabric collages, and traditional painting techniques.

AVIFW Fall-Winter 2025 ended on a high note, glowing with international flair, a celebration of Vietnamese identity, and the radiant message of #PureStyleShines. The success of this 20th season opens a new chapter for Vietnamese fashion, one of confidence and global ambition.

As the event steps into a new decade, AVIFW continues to be a stage of connection, opportunity and inspiration – where each collection tells a story of identity, creativity and national pride.

The audience now looks forward to AVIFW Spring-Summer 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
