SEA Games 33 will take place from December 9 to December 20, 2025, across three host cities in Thailand: Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkhla. This is Thailand’s first time hosting the Games in 18 years.
Some events will begin earlier, with several competitions kicking off as soon as December 5. Football will be the very first sport to commence at the Games.

SEA Games 33 will bring together over 10,000 athletes from 11 Southeast Asian nations. Vietnam is set to participate in more than 30 sports, with top medal hopes pinned on men’s football, women’s football, athletics, swimming, and gymnastics.
The organizing committee has officially announced the fixture schedules for Vietnam’s national football and futsal teams, setting the stage for their quest for glory at the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand this December.

In men’s football, Vietnam’s U22 team, led by head coach Kim Sang Sik, is placed in Group B alongside U22 Malaysia and U22 Laos.
According to the schedule, U22 Vietnam will debut against U22 Laos at 6:30 p.m. on December 4, followed by a match against U22 Malaysia on December 11. Both matches will be held at Tinsulanon Stadium in Songkhla. The semifinals are set for December 15, with the final and third-place playoff scheduled for December 18 at Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.

In the women’s football tournament, coach Mai Duc Chung’s squad is in Group B with Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Group stage matches will take place on December 5, 8, and 11 in Chonburi. The semifinals are scheduled for December 14, followed by the final on December 17.

Meanwhile, the men’s and women’s futsal teams will compete in Nonthaburi and BTU Hall (Bangkok Thonburi) from December 12 to 19.
