The Vietnam Golf Association recently held a forum titled “Roadmap for Youth Golf Development in the New Period”, outlining its strategy to develop junior golf in Vietnam between 2026 and 2031.
The event served as an open platform for discussion and feedback from parents, coaches and golf experts on building a structured system for developing young golfers in the country.
According to the VGA, the roadmap aims to establish a professional, transparent and synchronized youth golf ecosystem that can identify and nurture promising athletes capable of competing on the international stage.
The new system will focus on several key elements, including the VGA national ranking system and its connection with the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), as well as proposed criteria for selecting national teams.
During the event, the association also honored families who have played an important role in supporting young golfers and contributing to Vietnam’s achievements in the sport during 2025.
The initiative is expected to strengthen the foundation of junior golf in Vietnam and create a clearer pathway for young athletes pursuing professional careers in the sport.
