The annual forum on technology will see the participation of senior leaders from the government, ministries, sectors, localities, economic groups, IT application units, and enterprises, who will discuss their vision, development trends, and the exchange of major solutions in IT as a foundation for new development methods and modernization.

The fourth industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) is becoming more and more evident, impacting on many aspects of socioeconomic life on a global scale. It offers tremendous opportunities to change the face of economies but also bears incalculable risks.

The Prime Minister has issued Directive No. 16/CT-TTg, assigning ministries, central agencies, and local authorities to implement key tasks to improve capacity to access Industry 4.0. This is also why the Vietnam ICT Summit 2017 has the theme “Vietnam: Digital Transformation in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.

The forum will discuss topics such as Awareness about Industry 4.0, Vietnam’s Digital Economic Strengths, the Digital Industry, Intelligent Agriculture, Smart Travel, Smart Cities, Digital Manpower, Innovation, and Startups.

It is expected to gather together more than 500 attendees in total.

The Vietnam ICT Summit is a national and global summit on IT policy that was first held in 2011 and is organized annually by VINASA, with sponsorship from the Ministry of Information and Communications.

The summit annually delivers messages about policies and technology and recommendations to the Party, the government, management agencies, the business community, and society in order to promote the application of and develop IT.
