The fashion event will run with the theme of “#ReFashion” and will present the latest collections of 18 Vietnamese and foreign famous designers, including Vo Cong Khanh, Adrian Anh Tuan, Hoang Minh Ha, and Ly Giam Tien.
Most notably, the majority of designs are recycled from natural materials, such as oyster shells, lotus fibers, and plastic.
During the press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on May 9, Le Thi Quynh Trang, president of the AVIFW and Council of ASEAN Fashion Designers (CAFD), said the event’s new theme “#ReFashion” aims to promote the sustainable development of Vietnamese fashion in the new normal state.
The Vietnam International Fashion Week has been held 12 times and has attracted plenty of leading local and international designers. It is therefore expected to connect Vietnamese designers to the global fashion industry.
