The Vietnam International Finger-Style Guitar Festival took place at Vietnam Youth Theatre in Hanoi on August 25. The show, hosting the performance of five international guitarists and some local artists, drew a large audience.





The festival hosts amazing artists from Chile, Japan, Hungary, Germany and Taiwan (China). The concert was an extraordinary event for local music lovers to enjoy guitar finger-style from across the world.

The performance of one-handed Andres Godoy from Chile was a highlight of the concert. The artist lost his right arm in an accident at 14 years old. But through his passion and creativity, Andrés developed a unique technique which allows him to play guitar with one hand.

Finger-style guitar is the technique of playing the guitar that enables a single guitarist to provide all important musical elements. The genre is becoming more and more popular in Vietnam. /. VNA
