The 2019 Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM) themed “Green Tourism” will take place at the Hanoi Cultural Friendship Palace between March 27 – 30 with a particular focus on the development of ecotourism, environmental protection and responses to climate change.

According to the Vietnam Tourism Association (VTA), exhibitors will showcase their products and launch activities regarding environmental protection, biodiversity, combating the killing of wild animals and climate change responses.

In addition to this, a current talking point within the tourism business community is the opportunities and challenges during the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with many companies seeking to share information and experiences at the fair.

VTA Vice President Vu The Binh, head of the organizing board of VITM 2019, said the event is expected to draw up to 502 stalls with a total of 720 exhibitors coming from 25 countries and territories from around the globe.  85,000 visitors are also expected to contribute up to VND350 billion in sales.

Furthermore, as many as 32,000 tours and tourism related products at reasonable prices and 20,000 discounted air tickets will also be offered at the event.

In anticipation of VITM 2019, Mr Binh has identified the US as a key market to drawing a large number of travelers, thus contributing to considerable tourism growth.
