The Vietnam - Japan Cultural Exchange Festival 2018 with the theme “Vietnam – Japan: 45 Years of Friendship” was held in the central city of Danang from July 26 to 30.

The festival featured diverse activities such as music shows, martial art performances, calligraphy, cosplay contest, Japanese tea ceremonies, Japanese speaking contest, friendly football matches, and displays of Japan’s education and tourism.

This was part of activities to mark the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Particularly, Danang has cooperated with more than 20 prefectures of Japan in multiple fields.

The festival was also a chance for Vietnamese people to get some insight into Japanese culture, arts and cuisine and for Danang to lure more tourists, especially those from Japan.
