Viet Nam lost 1-2 to Singapore in the semi-finals of the 2017 Junior Davis Cup, Asia Oceania Pre-Qualifying Tournament yesterday, in New Delhi, India.

Vietnamese tennis players are competing at the Junior Davis Cup and Junior Fed Cup, Asia Oceania Pre-Qualifying Tournament in India.

The only win for the team came from Nguyen Van Phuong who has not lost any singles matches in the competition which was kicked off on Monday.

Phương defeated Robin Cheng 6-3, 6-3 in the second singles match.

Earlier, teammate Vo Hoang Hung lost 0-6, 6-4, 3-6 to Ethan Lye.

Cheng and Lye went on to beat Phuong and Pham Duc Phu 7-6 (5), 4-6, 10-4 in the doubles.

Viet Nam will play Lebanon today in the third-placed play-off, while Singapore will meet the Philippines in the final.
