The cooperation between Vietnam and the Macau Special Administrative Region of China will continue developing in a stable manner following Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc’s recent visit to China, stated a Vietnamese diplomat.

Deputy Consul General in Hong Kong and Macau Vu Chi Mai

Deputy Consul General in Hong Kong and Macau Vu Chi Mai made the remark while attending a recent get-together held by the Vietnamese community in Macau celebrating the homeland’s National Day (September 2).

Mai spoke highly of the contributions to the homeland’s nation-building cause made by the Vietnamese community and asked them to continue the efforts.
The event saw the participation of representatives from mass organisations in Macau as well.

During the official visit to China from September 10-15, PM Phuc met with representatives from Macau and Hong Kong, during which he reasserted that the Party and State always consider the overseas Vietnamese community an indispensable part of the nation and an important resource for the homeland’s development.

He called on the expatriates to continue maintaining unity, contributing to the homelands’ development, and serving as a bridge connecting the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Hong Kong and Macau.
