Tours of Hanoi using double-decker buses are being offered free of charge to all delegates, including athletes, coaches, and reporters, to the ongoing SEA Games 31 throughout May.

The buses, running between 9am and 5pm every day, can be identified with the Games’ logo and the line ‘Official bus tour for SEA Games 31’ on its front and sides.

The service, named Hanoi City Tour, is the first of its kind in the capital. The buses carry passengers through 25 streets and have 15 stops at key local tourist destinations such as the Hanoi Opera House, St. Joseph's Cathedral, Hanoi Flag Tower, President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Hoa Lo prison, and the Vietnamese Women’s Museum.

The vehicles are also equipped with an automatic narration system in 10 languages and have a frequency of 60 minutes.

Proposal for fourth dose of Covid-19 vaccine submitted before May 25

The Ministry of Health proposed local health departments send the demand for the fourth dose of the Covid-19 vaccine before May 25.

In its document to health departments in provinces and cities, the Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology / Pasteur Institute, and functional units about the 4th dose of Covid-19 vaccine, the Ministry asked local health departments to propose the demand for the fourth dose of Covid-19 vaccine to the Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Pasteur Institute according to the management zoning before May 25 and to the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology before May 30 so that these bodies can synthesize and propose the number of vaccines.

Priority is given to the fourth dose of Covid-19 vaccine to people including those aged 50 years and older, people aged 18 years or older with moderate to severe immunodeficiency, people aged 18 and over in the high-risk groups for exposure to Covid-19 such as health workers, frontline officials, workers, and employees working in industrial zones. The minimum interval between the fourth and the third shots is four months. People who have contracted Covid-19 after receiving the third dose will delay three months after contracting Covid-19.

Vietnam looks for cooperation opportunities in Africa

Vietnam’s achievements and potential for cooperation with African nations have been popularised at the 8th Edition of the Africa Forum of Investment and Commerce, which takes place in Algeria on May 11 and 12.

Organised by the Arab-African Center for Investment and Development (CAAID), the event connects 650 investors, leaders of regional and international organisations, experts, and representatives of commerce chambers from 35 countries. The Vietnamese delegation to the forum is led by Ambassador to Algeria Nguyen Thanh Vinh.

Trade between Vietnam and 55 African countries exceeded 7 billion USD in 2021, with key Vietnamese exports to the region including industrial products, farm produce, and processed goods. Vietnam imported mainly production materials, liquefied petroleum gas, and copper from Africa.

To date, more than 20 African countries have invested about 2.3 billion USD in Vietnam, while Vietnam has poured 3.5 billion USD in Algeria, Cameroon, Angola, Tanzania, and Mozambique, among others.

In addition to attending the forum, the Vietnamese delegation also runs a stall offering Vietnamese products at a fair on the sidelines.

Vietnam's Engineering Unit conducts field reconnaissance in Abyei

Soldiers of Vietnam's Engineering Unit Rotation 1 participating in peacekeeping mission at the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) have recently deployed field reconnaissance to prepare for the rainy season and build barracks.

After a meeting with the UNISFA’s Engineering Section on these works, the Vietnamese engineering unit sent out two field reconnaissance teams on May 10.

The first 28 members of Vietnam's Engineering Unit Rotation 1 arrived at the UNISFA on May 5.

They have been assigned to take over barracks in the mission and equipment transported from Vietnam by sea, and make preparations to welcome the official unit of 156 people, to be deployed in mid-May.

This is the first time Vietnam has sent military engineers to join UN peacekeeping operations. It is the unit-level formation with the largest number of members ever participating in UN peacekeeping missions.

New-term council for education, human resources development established

The National Council for Education and Human Resources Development for the 2022 – 2026 period has been established under a decision signed by Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh on May 11.

The 27-member council is chaired by Deputy PM Vu Duc Dam while Minister of Education and Training acts as vice chairman.

Its members include representatives from the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs; Ministry of Science and Technology; Ministry of Health; Vietnam Association for Promoting Education; and universities.

The council serves as a think tank responsible for advising the Prime Minister on reviewing and evaluating reforms in education and human resources development; and on executing the Laws on Education, Higher Education and Vocational Training, structural framework of the national education system, national qualifications framework, education development strategies, and major educational projects.

China Talk 19 spotlights US-China competition in Southeast Asia

The Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam (DAV) and the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Vietnam jointly held the 19th edition of the China Talk series, themed “US and China competition in Southeast Asia”, on May 11.

The hybrid event was co-chaired by DAV Vice President Dr. Nguyen Hung Son and KAS Vietnam Resident Representative Florian Constantin Feyerabend. It brought together more than 150 participants on the ground and online.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Hung Son welcomed the world leading sinologist Prof. David Shambaugh who joined the event as the main speaker, stressing that Vietnam has been actively seeking for better cooperation with sinologists all over the world to have deeper and more comprehensive studies on China.

Prof. David Shambaugh is an internationally recognised authority and award-winning author on contemporary China and the international relations of Asia. He is the Gaston Sigur Professor of Asian Studies, Political Science & International Affairs, and the founding Director of the China Policy Program in the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University.

During his one-hour lecture, Prof. David Shambaugh analysed the changing dynamics of US-China relations in Southeast Asia. Outlining the geopolitical and geostrategic significance of Southeast Asia in US and China policy, he shared perspectives and views on the competition between the two powers and the approaches of Southeast Asian countries.

According to Prof. Shambaugh, competition between major powers will continue to linger in the region; however, the level of the rivalry will be contained to competitive coexistence.

Party official pays working visit to Israel

Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and Chairman of the Central Theory Council Nguyen Xuan Thang is paying a working visit to Israel, meeting many local leaders.

On May 11, his first day in the nation, Thang met Speaker of the Knesset Mickey Levy, during which the official expressed his delight at the growing friendship and cooperation between the nations in the past time.

Thang suggested measures to further boosting the ties such as increasing delegation exchanges at all levels and collaboration in potential sectors; improving the effectiveness of their inter-governmental committee and ministerial-level cooperation; and stepping up academic exchange to facilitate joint research and technological development.

He suggested Israel support and transfer technology for Vietnam in the fields of startups, digital transformation, renewable energy, IT, and AI; and asked for the acceleration of the signing of free trade and labour cooperation agreements between the countries.

Thang’s schedule on May 11 also included meetings with Israeli Economy and Industry Minister Orna Barbivai, Chairwoman of the Israel-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians' Group Michal Shir Segman; and Minister of Religious Services Matan Kahana; as well as a visit to the Vietnamese Embassy.

Disciplinary measures given to Can Tho officials

Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh has signed the Prime Minister’s decisions on disciplinary measures against officials of the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.

Decision No. 577/QD-TTg issued a disciplinary warning to Le Van Tam, former Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee in the 2016-21 tenure, for his wrongdoings and shortcomings during his term.

In Decision No. 578/QD-TTg, the PM reprimanded Vice Chairman of the Can Tho People’s Committee and former Director of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Nguyen Van Hong, also for his wrongdoings and shortcomings.

The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission has applied Party disciplines against Tam and Hong on January 19, 2022.

Previously, during its 11th session on January 12-13, 2022, the commission reviewed the inspection results when there were signs of wrongdoings of the Party Delegation of the Can Tho municipal People’s Committee for the 2016-2021 term. It found that the delegation had violated the Party's principles and regulations and working rules, shown a poor sense of responsibility, and loosened leadership that resulted in wrongdoings in the procurement of medical equipment, medicines, and the repair and upgrade of hospitals.

SEAGF’s Executive Board and Council Meetings held in Hanoi

The Southeast Asian Games Federation (SEAGF) Executive Board and Council Meetings convened on May 11 on the sidelines of the ongoing SEA Games 31.

At the event, participants heard reports on sports and SEAGF law; health and doping prevention and control; women and sports from meetings of the SEAGF’s subcommittees held earlier on the same day.

They talked about difficulties and disadvantages of their sports when attending different SEA Games editions held in many countries.

Their discussion revolved around the selection of sports for competitions at the Games, assistance for participating delegations, and related copyright and advertising in sports, among other topics.

NA Standing Committee opines on socio-economic reports

The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee’s 11th session continued on May 11, discussing reports that assess the implementation of socio-economic development and State budget works in 2021 and in early months of 2022.

Chairing the function, NA Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai said socio-economic challenges are predicted for the period between now and the end of the year, particularly regarding works for achieving the target of an 8-8.5 percent GDP growth.

He recommended the Government continue to effectively implement the COVID-19 prevention and control programme; as well as conduct flexible and effective management of fiscal and monetary policies following the pandemic developments and the world situation.

It is also necessary to control inflation, maintain lending interest rates at a reasonable level, and step up administration reform, among others, Hai added.

New Zealand assists Vietnam’s post-pandemic recovery

The Government of New Zealand has presented two million NZD (nearly 1.26 million USD) from its COVID-19 response fund to support Vietnam’s recovery from the pandemic.

The announcement ceremony for the fund, held in Hanoi on May 11, saw the participations of representatives of New Zealand Embassy, the Foreign Ministry, UNICEF Vietnam, CARE International, and OXFAM Vietnam, among others.

Over the past two years, the New Zealand Embassy has successfully carried out several COVID-19 response projects worth 270,000 NZD in total, assisting more than 3,300 female workers in various sectors and 130 children with disabilities as well as members of the hearing-impaired community in Vietnam. The Embassy’s partners in the projects are Oxfam in Vietnam, ActionAid in Vietnam, East Meets West, CARE International in Vietnam, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Tan Binh Centre, and SCDeaf.

According to the embassy, the new fund will be used for projects with CARE International in Vietnam and Oxfam in Vietnam, aimed to support a total of 5,400 persons, who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. Most assistance will be directed to women, people with disabilities and members of ethnic minority communities in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Quang Tri, and Ha Giang provinces, it noted.

HCM City steps up anti-dengue fever efforts amid high infection numbers

Ho Chi Minh City is ramping up dengue fever control efforts in various wards and districts following as many as 4,491 infections being recorded during the four-month period, including 109 severe cases.

In the face of the situation, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has called for closer coordination among relevant agencies in the fight against the epidemic, and requested hospitals and medical facilities throughout the city to prepare enough drugs, fluids, blood, blood-related products, and emergency vehicles for dengue fever treatment.

According to the statistics compiled by the municipal health department, April witnessed a sharp rise in cases of the mosquito-borne disease in several districts across the city, including Binh Chanh, Binh Tan, and Hoc Mon.

As a means of coping with this sudden climb in infection numbers, the southern metropolis has set up inspection teams in some of the districts which have recorded the most outbreaks, and monitor the implementation of dengue prevention plans, with a particular focus on destroying  mosquito larvae.

Furthermore, the municipal health sector has also taken a range of drastic epidemic control measures, including launching a propagation campaign and actively responding to ASEAN Dengue Day on June 15.

Australia, Vietnam work on young expert training in water sector

The Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA) and the Australian Water Association (AWA) have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at training young specialists in the water sector for the 2022 to 2024 period.

The move comes following both countries enduring numerous challenges in terms of climate change, clean water supply, water security, water pollution, and wastewater treatment.

Nguyen Huy Kham, head of the Communications Department at the VWSA, emphasised that under the terms of the memorandum of understanding (MoU), both sides will work together effectively to carry out joint activities to facilitate information sharing and implementation of initiatives for mutual benefits.

Most notably, the VWSA and AWA agreed to consider the development of a common brand for upcoming events and encourage technological innovations in the water sector, as well as introducing business opportunities to boost the development of the water industry of both countries in the time ahead. 

With regard to special co-operation projects, the VWSA and AWA agreed to co-ordinate activities in support of the improvement of the professional expertise for young experts. 

Cooperation in education, training spotlights Vietnam-Laos relations: Minister

Cooperation in education and training is an important part of the Vietnam-Lao relationship, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son has said.

He made the statement at a meeting in Hanoi on May 11 with Lao Minister of Education and Sports Phouth Simmalavong who is in Vietnam, together with the Laos sports delegation to the 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 31).

The two countries are expected to sign a protocol in September which refers to close coordination between the two sides on compiling textbooks, learning materials, management of overseas students, and activities of the pre-university colleges, Son said.

Simmalavong said he hopes that the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training will provide the Vietnamese-Lao and Lao-Vietnamese dictionary software to assist the country in building a Lao dictionary.

The Vietnamese minister assured that the software will be transferred to the Lao side in the next few days.

GSK Belgium, VNVC sign MoU on strategic cooperation

GlaxoSmithKline S.A. of Belgium and Vietnam Vaccine Joint Stock Company (VNVC) signed a memorandum of understanding in Ho Chi Minh City on May 11, opening up opportunities for Vietnam to have more new vaccines.

Under the signed document, both sides have agreed to establish a sustainable vaccine supply chain, expand vaccine coverage to all citizens, and raise public awareness about the role of vaccines in protecting human health.

The MoU was signed during the launch of GSK Pharma Vietnam Company Limited.

Festival set to delight local K-Pop fans

Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in Hanoi is poised to welcome the return of the K-Pop Lovers Festival 2022 on May 14 after two years of the event being paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The festival will feature a wide range of activities, including an exhibition featuring K-Pop idols, the introduction of the culture, tourism, and food of the Republic of Korea (RoK), as well as exchanges among numerous K-Pop fan clubs.

Visitors will have the chance to sample Korean traditional outfit Hanbok and join Korean dances from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 14.

The highlight of the festival will be the much-awaited performances of 20 individuals and groups selected from various K-Pop singing and dancing competitions which have been held across the country. They will have the opportunity to show off their singing and dancing skills, as well as their love for K-Pop, during the course of the festival.

Programme provides free heart surgery for about 9,000 children

The “Nhip tim Vietnam” (Heartbeat Vietnam) programme has saved the lives of 9,000 children suffering from congenital heart defects, heard a gala held in Ho Chi Minh City on May 11.

The event was jointly held by VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) to mark the 9,000 child patients receiving free surgery.

Launched in 2006, the Vietnam Heartbeat Programme and VCF have strived to save the lives of unlucky children by improving access to medical care, helping them receive timely surgery, and providing financial support to their families.

In addition to conducting 80 to 100 congenital heart screenings each year, it has also sponsored supporting packages for post-surgery care and scholarships for children to continue going to school.

According to statistics from the Ministry of Health, about 15,000 children were born with congenital heart diseases each year in Vietnam.

Netflix unveils finalists of 'My Vietnam' short film competition

Netflix has unveiled the top nine finalists for a short film competition powered by its Cinema Beauty - Vietnam Creative Economy Grant — launched in October 2021 with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Themed “My Vietnam”, the short film competition encourages filmmakers from underrepresented communities to tell the stories of Vietnam through their own eyes.

Over 200 entries were received from aspiring filmmakers across Việt Nam since the application for the short film competition opened in December 2021, of which nine projects were carefully shortlisted by a jury including representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and experts in the country's film industry.

The top nine shortlisted projects include short films that showcase Việt Nam's unique communities, vibrant culture and charming landscapes, including stories of the H'mông ethnic group residing in the mountainous regions of Việt Nam in Khu rừng của Páo (Páo’s forest), the lives of economically disadvantaged community in Wanna Come Back Home, and a journey of self-discovery for a Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic in Con tàu của Theseus (Theseus’ Ship).

Each shortlisted project was awarded US$10,000 from the Netflix Cinema Beauty - Vietnam Creative Economy Grant to create a short film. The winning film will be announced on 23 May 2022, at 8pm on Yeah1’s Facebook channel. 

MSA, Roche Vietnam sign MoU on liver cancer prevention

The health ministry’s Medical Service Administration (MSA) and Roche Vietnam signed a Memorandum of Understanding on improving liver cancer management in Việt Nam for 2022-23 on May 10.

Liver cancer is the leading cancer type in Việt Nam in terms of both morbidity and mortality, with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) being the main cause.

In the next two years, the cooperation programme, entitled Live Longer, aims to increase the community’s awareness of liver cancer and build health capacity in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of liver cancer.

The programme will be implemented by MSA and Roche Vietnam in cooperation with the Department of Health Insurance under the MoH, the Vietnam Association for Study of Liver Disease (VASLD), and six hospitals, including K hospital, Bạch Mai, Hà Nội Oncology hospital, HCM University Medical Centre, HCM City Oncology hospital and Chợ Rẫy hospitals.

Quang Nam seaside commune sees land fever

Many residents in a beachside commune in the central coastal province of Quang Nam are selling their houses amid sharply rising land prices.

Nguyen Thi Dinh in Tam Tien Commune has just sold her house which lies only some metres from the beach. Her small house was built over 40 years ago on a land area of over 700 square metres.

Dinh said that she decided to sell the house at VND7.60 billion (USD330,435) and find another house in the village where land prices are cheaper.

The 69-year-old woman said that many of her neighbours have also sold their land plots during the recent real estate fevers.

Another resident, Nguyen Thi Son said that she had just sold her 400-square-metre land plot for VND 4 billion.

Vice-chairman of Tam Tien Communal People's Committee, Nguyen Xuan Uy confirmed that there has been a real estate fever in the area over the past two years.

Explaining the land fever, the official said that his commune has recently been added in the plan for building Tam Tien-Tam Thanh Town.

Thanh Hoa airport military terminal to be used for international flights

A military terminal at the central province of Thanh Hoa’s Tho Xuan Airport will be used to serve international flights by late 2026.

Under the prime minister’s decision issued in 2013, Tho Xuan Airport covers military and civil purposes.

According to Tho Xuan Airport’s planning in the 2021-2030 and a vision until 2050 approved by the Ministry of Transport, Thanh Hoa would focus on upgrading and expanding Terminal 1 and building Terminal 2 to raise the airport’s total passenger capacity to five million per year.

At present, Terminal 1 serves domestic flights, meanwhile, the construction of Terminal 2 is scheduled to be completed by late 2026. Thanh Hoa’s authorities have proposed using the military terminal for international flights by the end of 2026. The Ministry of Defence have agreed to this recommendation.

The military terminal has been handed over to the Ministry of Transport for upgrading for international flights.

Hanoi Great Souvenirs 2022 introduces over 10,000 typical products

Hanoi Great Souvenirs 2022, introducing 10,000 typical handicraft products, opened in the area next to the square at My Dinh National Stadium (Le Duc Tho Street, Nam Tu Liem District), on May 11.

The fair has an exhibition area of 1,500m2, introducing a variety of typical and unique craft villages of the city, displaying more than 10,000 typical handicraft products and 100 stalls beautifully decorated, with gift products made by Hanoi artisans.

Along with this event, the Hanoi Municipal People's Committee directed departments, agencies, People's Committees of districts and towns to deploy 74 civilized and commercial streets, and also organised a series of tourism events including a gift festival, a tourism festival at Hoan Kiem District Walking Street, and Vietnamese Goods Week at Trinh Cong Son Walking Street.

At the same time, the craft villages of Hanoi City have also fully prepared the conditions for decoration, products and gifts to welcome and best serve domestic and international tourists when coming to the capital.

The fair takes place from May 11 to 20.

Winners of National Technical Innovation Contest announced

A ceremony was held in Hanoi on May 11 to honour the winners of the 16th National Technical Innovation Contest (2020-2021).

The contest received a total of 550 solutions from 54 provinces, cities, ministries and agencies around the country.

The organising board presented five first place, 11 second place, 23 third place and 45 consolation prizes to the 84 most outstanding solutions.

In addition, the five individuals who are the managers of the first-prize solutions were honoured with certificates of merit from the Prime Minister.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labour also awarded the certificate of creative labour to the managers and co-managers of outstanding solutions.

The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee presented two certificates of merit and 15 creative youth badges.

On the occasion, the group from the Military Technical Academy received the award from the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) for the best solution.

Food tourism on the rise in Hai Phong City

The Hai Phong City Tourism Department has released a food map, suggesting an interesting way for food and travel lovers to explore the northern port city.

Food tourism is a popular option for travellers to Hai Phong, and this travel trend has been on the rise since the recent holidays to commemorate the Hung King’s death anniversary and celebrate National Reunification Day (April 30) and May Day (May 1).

During the holidays, thousands of people from Hanoi, mostly youngsters and students, flocked to Hai Phong using various modes of transports, such as motorbike, bus, and train. They often travelled in groups with four to ten members.

Departing from Hanoi by train in the morning, visitors can arrive at Hai Phong after just over 2 hours to start their tours to sample delicious dishes in the northern port city, such as crab noodles, spicy fish noodles, spring rolls, shrimp pancakes, bread sticks, and snails, at affordable prices.

Foodies can rent motorbikes or take a taxi to the centres of street food such as Tran Nhat Duat Street and the Cat Bi, Luong Van Can, and Cot Den markets.

First Border Hoa Sim Festival to be held in Mong Cai

The first Border Hoa Sim (Rose myrtle) Festival will be held in Hai Son commune, Mong Cai city, in the northern province of Quang Ninh from May 14-15.

The event is part of activities responding to the National Tourism Year, promoting Mong Cai’s tourism and marking the 132nd birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh.

The festival aims to create a new tourism product in association with the development of community-based tourism in Hai Son commune, contributing to preserving and promoting the cultural values of ethnic minority groups in Mong Cai city.

The activities within the festival will be held in several tourist areas of Hai Son commune such as the communal cultural and sports centre, Po Hen martyrs’ Monument, Border marker 1347, Ho Dang hamlet, Po Hen village, Than Phu Xa village, rose myrtle hill and Panai mountain peak.

The festival will also feature various attractive activities including the Po Hen rural market, sports exchanges and folk games.

Nine short film projects on environment receive support

Nine projects have been selected from 21 short film projects on the environment in the Green Screen short film contest, to be supported for a part of production costs.

The information was announced by the Vietnam Film Development Association (VFDA).

The Green Screen short film contest, launched by the VFDA on January 5, aims to encourage young filmmakers to focus on environmental topics as well as reflect on current issues related to sustainable development from environmental protection.

Since the launch on March 31, the organising committee has received 66 valid scenarios and projects.

The film projects are diverse in genres, including animated films, documentaries, feature films, and science films. The authors and groups are still very young, many of them are students of universities such as Van Lang University, Hoa Sen University, and the University of Theatre and Cinema. The contents of the film project revolve around different perspectives on the topic of environment and environmental protection, approached by the authors vividly and realistically.

National Paragliding Club Championship held in Ly Son island

The second National Paragliding Championship will be held in the island district of Ly Son in the central province of Quang Ngai from May 20-24.

The announcement was released by the Quang Ngai provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on May 10.

The athletes will compete in single events for both men and women as well as a team category with seven participants in each.

The second National Paragliding Club Championship will be an opportunity to review the skills of paragliders in preparations for the regional and world tournaments.

The event is expected to be a highlight in the development of tourism products in Quang Ngai province, attracting more visitors to Ly Son island.

Former director of Hau Giang CDC arrested

Nguyen Van Lanh has been detained for his alleged involvement in the Viet A test kit price gouging case, a day after he was removed from his posts as secretary of the Party Committee and director of the Center for Disease Control (CDC) of the Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang.

Two other former senior officials of Hau Giang CDC, Huynh Thi Hong Doan and Ha Tan Binh, were also arrested today, May 11, for the same charges.

The law enforcement agencies are searching the workplaces of the three at Hau Giang CDC in Vi Thanh City, the local media reported.

Fine arts exhibition promoting “Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space” opens

A fine arts exhibition themed “Studying and following President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle” opened at the HCMC Fine Arts Association on May 11 to mark the 132nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

The display introduced to viewers 29 artworks that won contests on studying and following President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and style from 2011-2021, aiming at educating young people to study and follow Uncle Ho’s ideology, morality, and style. The event also presented 14 artworks created from 2021-2022.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Education Board of the City Party Committee Nguyen Tho Truyen highly appreciated the exhibits

He hoped that there will be more valuable works of art to promote the “Building Ho Chi Minh cultural space” which is one of the goals that have been launched in the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress for the term 2020-2025.
